Accessories

In this section you can buy various skateboard accessories including lubrication, riser pads, replacement skateboard bushings and new attaching hardware in many styles and lengths.  The use of riser pads do a couple of things.  One benefit is that they act as a cushion between your truck’s baseplate and the deck.  This is helpful in preventing stress cracks and eventual failure of the deck itself.  Another benefit is that they decrease the possibility of experiencing “wheel bite”.

A normal setup would have the trucks mounted directly to the deck with 1″ bolts.  You would normally want to add the thickness of your riser pads to that 1″ starting length.  That is if you’re using 1/8 inch riser pads you would want to use 1 1/8 inch hardware.

Other skateboard accessories include replacement bushings which come in many styles and hardness, normally rated in durometer. The durometer is the international standard for hardness.
