Pig Skateboard Wheels

Pig Skateboard Wheels; Pig Conical ‘C Line’ Wheels are here. The ‘C Line’ wheels are a double conical profile. This means they have a cone shaped recess on each side of the inner wheel. Regular classic Pig wheels are what is known as a radial shape, which is a radius profile running from the riding surface to the bearing recess. The classic Pig wheels are still available and are now called ‘Pro Line’ series wheels.

Over the last few years, conical wheels have made a real resurgence. It is a very popular wheel profile these days. It has two main features. First it removes some of the material from the wheel, making them slightly lighter. Secondly it provides a defined flat surface to lock in to edges like corners, rails and coping. A radial shaped wheel will ‘slip and roll’ over these edges a little easier and be a little harder to lock in. It’s not a huge difference, but choosing a conical or radial can help fine tune some tricks.

Pig Skateboard Wheels are known for their no nonsense approach to making wheels. They don’t tart up the packaging with false claims. They simply make good, fast wheels that suit all terrain. As a general rule their formula is a little more grippy and forgiving than other wheels marked 101a. They won’t slip out as easy as other wheels on super smooth skate-park concrete and are a little less chattery on rough stuff. Don’t worry, if you give them a push they will still slide perfectly.
